I am in month 7 in Berlin of my one-yearish creative break to finish writing and recording my new album. The new songs had been coming fast and furious before the U.S. election started to consume my time. I'm a politics addict. So, after tomorrow's vote and hopefully with Barack Obama as President-elect, I can return to the music.

I plan to keep a record here of how the songs are developing both in the writing stages and the recording stages.

The first six songs are nearly done except for some lyrics. The lyrics are always a harder slog for me. The songs for the most part are more edgy and rootsy.
